This project is located in Luanda, the capital city of Angola, and was designed for a large modern supermarket. As an important commercial building, the project required exterior and interior materials that could combine strong visual impact, cultural identity, durability, and practical performance.
For this project, Dingchengzun supplied customized perforated aluminum veneer panels for the exterior wall, as well as aluminum baffles and curved aluminum baffles for the interior ceiling. The exterior facade features a customized perforated pattern inspired by Queen Nzinga, one of Angola’s most famous historical figures. This design gives the building a unique cultural meaning while creating a distinctive architectural appearance.
The overall project combines modern aluminum materials with local cultural elements, helping the supermarket stand out as a recognizable and attractive commercial landmark.
Exterior Wall Design
The exterior wall uses customized perforated aluminum veneer panels. Unlike ordinary flat facade materials, perforated aluminum panels can create rich visual layers through different hole sizes, patterns, and arrangements. In this project, the perforation design is based on the image of Queen Nzinga, giving the facade a strong cultural and artistic expression.
The customized Queen Nzinga pattern makes the building more than just a commercial space. It reflects local history and cultural identity, while also creating a memorable exterior image for the supermarket.
In addition to its decorative effect, the perforated aluminum facade also offers excellent practical performance. The panels are lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant, and suitable for long-term outdoor use. They also help improve the sense of depth and transparency of the building exterior, creating a modern and dynamic facade effect.
Interior Ceiling Solution
For the interior ceiling, aluminum baffles and curved aluminum baffles were used together to create a modern, open, and rhythmic ceiling design. The straight aluminum baffles bring a clean linear effect, while the curved baffles add softness, movement, and visual flow to the space.
This combination makes the supermarket interior look more spacious, organized, and contemporary. The ceiling system also works well with lighting, ventilation, and other building systems, helping create a comfortable shopping environment.
Aluminum baffle ceilings are widely used in large commercial spaces because they are easy to install, convenient to maintain, and visually clean. For this project, the customized straight and curved baffle design helped balance functionality with a more refined architectural appearance.
Customized Design and Manufacturing
According to the project requirements, Dingchengzun provided customized solutions for both the exterior wall and ceiling systems. The perforated aluminum veneer panels were produced based on the required pattern, panel size, hole arrangement, surface finish, and installation method.
The aluminum baffles and curved baffles were also customized in size, shape, spacing, and color to match the supermarket’s interior design. Through precise processing and surface treatment, the products achieved a consistent appearance and reliable performance.
