Importing aluminum ceilings from China takes five steps, and production itself is the shortest part. At Dingchengzun, standard products are produced in 15 days and custom products in 30 days, counted from drawing approval and deposit.
Most delays happen before production starts, when drawings and samples go back and forth. The more complete your first inquiry, the faster the whole project moves. Sea transit time then depends on your route, so ask your freight forwarder for a current schedule.
A complete first inquiry is the fastest way to an accurate price. An inquiry that says only “price for clip-in ceiling” gets a panel-only price that will change later. Send these details instead:
No drawings yet? A sketch with dimensions and photos of the space is enough to start. Our engineers can propose a layou
Before production, we turn your design into shop drawings: panel layout, sizes, cut-outs for lights and diffusers, and suspension details. You check and sign off on them. This step prevents most installation problems, because errors are caught on paper rather than on site.
We then send physical samples of the panel, finish and color. For large or custom projects, a small mock-up of the ceiling is worth the extra time. It confirms appearance under real lighting and lets your installer check the fixing method.
Keep the approved sample. It becomes the reference for color and finish if any question comes up when the goods arrive.

A usable quotation lists every component, not just the panels. It should include the panel specification, suspension system and trims, unit of measure, packing method, Incoterm, lead time and payment terms. Our aluminum ceiling price guide explains what drives each line and how to compare quotes from different suppliers.
Minimum order quantity depends on the product. Standard tiles in stock colors have low minimums. Custom profiles, special sizes and custom colors need larger quantities, because each run requires tooling and coating setup. Ask for the MOQ of the exact item you need.
Payment terms at Dingchengzun:

After drawings, samples and quote are approved; production starts on receipt |

70% balance |
After production and inspection; goods ship once the balance is received |
The deposit secures raw material and the production slot. Paying the balance after inspection means you can check the finished goods, or have them inspected, before the final payment.
Production runs 15 days for standard products and 30 days for custom products. Custom work takes longer because it needs new tooling, special cutting or bending programs, or a custom coating color.
Before packing, every order is checked against the approved drawings and sample. The key checks are:
We accept third-party inspection. You can appoint an inspection company such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek or a local agent to check goods at our Guangzhou factory before you pay the balance. Book the inspector a few days before the production completion date, and give them the approved drawings and sample photos as the reference.
Good packing is what turns a factory-perfect panel into a site-perfect panel. Aluminum ceilings are light but easy to dent and scratch, so packing is matched to the product and the journey.

One 40HQ container holds about 5,000 m² of standard 600×600 clip-in tiles. Long or bulky products such as baffles, strips and facade panels load less area per container, because their packing has more empty space. Ask us for a container loading plan based on your exact product mix.
Aluminum ceilings are light, so freight is driven by volume, not weight. A full container is the most economical way to ship. Smaller orders can go as LCL (shared container) cargo.
We ship from Shenzhen and Nansha (Guangzhou), both major South China ports with frequent sailings worldwide. We photograph the loading of every container and send you the photos before the vessel sails.
The Incoterm decides where our responsibility ends and yours begins. These are the terms most used for ceiling and facade orders:

FOB is the most common choice for experienced importers. If this is your first order from China, CIF is simpler, because you only handle clearance at your own port.
Your customs broker needs the right documents to clear the goods. With every shipment we provide:
Ask your broker before ordering whether your country needs anything else, such as product test reports or a pre-shipment inspection certificate.
How long does production take? 15 days for standard products and 30 days for custom products, after drawings and samples are approved and the deposit is received.
What are your payment terms? A 30% deposit to start production, and the 70% balance before shipment. Goods ship once the balance is received.
Which port do you ship from? Shenzhen or Nansha (Guangzhou), whichever has the better schedule and rate for your destination.
How many square meters fit in one container? About 5,000 m² of standard 600×600 clip-in tiles in a 40HQ. Baffles, strips and facade panels load less per container.
Can you provide a certificate of origin? Yes. Tell us your destination country and we will advise which certificate applies.
Can I arrange a third-party inspection? Yes. You can appoint any inspection company to check the goods at our factory before you pay the balance.
We have shipped aluminum ceiling and facade systems to projects in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Angola and beyond, including the baffle ceiling at Almaty International Airport. Send us your drawings, areas and destination port, and we will reply with shop-drawing support, a full-system quotation and a container plan.
